Everybody loves Mississippi Mud Pie—the quintessential Southern dessert.
But who has time for a pie crust? We use an easy to make crepes instead of the pie crust. It takes almost now time to make and is as delicious - or even more - than the original.
Whether you're from Mississippi or Washington state, we promise you'll love this modern twist on a classic pie recipe!
Ingredients:
First, make chocolate pudding according to package directions. Chill for at least two hours. Next, mix cream cheese with sugar and vanilla. Keep chilled until ready to prepare crepes.
Next, make chocolate crepes and set aside. Cover to keep warm.
You can also make white crepes, with our basic crepe recipe, but I like the chocolate ones better for this recipes using cool whip.
Assemble crepes: Lay first crepe flat on the serving dish. Spread with 2 tbsp of cream cheese mixture. Top with 2 tbsp of pudding. Fold in half. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, 1 tsp of crumbled nuts and top with 2 tbsp of Cool Whip. Repeat with remaining crepes. Serve immediately.
