Ingredients:
Sir together sugar and liqueur in small saucepan. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
Melt chocolate chips over double boiler. Add 2 tbsp of whipping cream and stir together until thoroughly incorporated. Remove from heat and add liqueur mixture. Stir together until glossy and smooth. Let cool for 20 minutes.
Using electric mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold cooled chocolate mixture into whites. Set aside and beat the remaining whipping cream until soft peaks form. Fold chocolate-egg white mixture into cream until thoroughly combined. You may serve immediately or chill for up to 24 hours.
Yield: 8 servings (½ cup each)
