Healthy Recipe with Banana for Crepes

banana crepes with cream cheese and nuts

Seeing an unusual recipe with banana? Low fat banana recipes such as our dessert crepes with bananas in the batter make great breakfast, brunch or dessert recipes.

Most banana dessert recipes are full of sugar and carbohydrates. This healthy banana dessert is quite the opposite, with less sugar, carbs and fat.

Not only are they delicious, these banana pecan crepes will have your entire house smelling like warm banana bread right from the oven!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • ¼ cup of toasted pecan pieces
  • Basic crepe recipe
  • Spreadable low-fat cream cheese, optional
  • Extra pecan pieces, optional for garnish

After mixing up basic crepe batter, refrigerate for 30 minutes. Afterwards, add banana and nuts to batter. Purée in blender to combine. Make crepes according to directions in How to Make Crepes.

You may serve crepes fresh off the pan with a drizzle of our vanilla maple syrup or spread low-fat cream cheese across crepes. If desired, garnish with extra pecans. Serve immediately—you won't be able to wait!
