I love cooking steel cut oats but making them on the stovetop means you have to stir, stir, and stir!
Let your crock pot do the hard part -- and you'll be rewarded with creamy, thick oats studded with cranberries, apples and raisins.
For extra flair, roll your warms oats up in crepes and garnish with maple syrup and walnuts. Yum!
Ingredients:
Coat the inside of your crock pot with nonstick cooking spray or use a liner. Add first 9 ingredients and mix together. Replace lid and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
Yield: 8 servings (½ cup each)
To serve, sprinkle each serving with 1 tbsp of walnuts and drizzle with maple syrup.
If desired, roll up ½ cup of cooked oats inside a warm crepe.
Top each serving with walnuts and syrup. Serve immediately.
