Ahh Nutella! This delicious hazel-nut spread is the perfect accompaniment to our banana crepes. This recipe is a classic street crepe in France, but thanks to Nutella's growing availability here in America, you can have them at your own home.
How many desserts do you know that have just 3 ingredients?
My family loves this recipe. We're all Nutella addicts and once a glass is open, it doesn't last long. What better idea than to use our favorite bread spread on a delicious crepe to make one of the best desserts ever.
And it's so easy, anyone can do it.
Microwave the Nutella in microwaveable bowl for 15 seconds or until thoroughly heated.
Spread each crepe with ¼ cup of Nutella.
Lay banana slices (½ banana each) on top.
Roll up each crepe or fold it in half, as they do in France.
Optional: Top with whipped cream, toasted hazelnuts,
a dusting of cocoa, and a sprig of mint.
By the way, if you can't get hold of the original Nutella, you can use any chocolate cream. It won't taste exactly the same, but very close.
Enjoy!
Yield: 4 servings (one crepe per serving)
For fun, try this recipe fried!
