Banana Crepes with Orange Juice, Maple Syrup and Butter

I remember when I was 15 and Mum and I were painting the living room one Saturday, at about 1:30 in the morning. We got really hungry and I decided to make pancakes.
There were a couple of over-ripe bananas on the counter, and a few oranges. I smooshed the bananas into the pancake batter and made the pancakes as usual. They came out rather thin because I'd used too much banana, but they still smelled wonderful.
I then squeezed out the juice from the oranges into a pot and threw in some butter and maple syrup before simmering the mixture. We poured the hot syrup over the folded banana crepes, added a few slices of fresh orange, and wolfed them down.
To this day, I have not eaten a crepe or pancake as wonderful as those were. Maybe it's because we were ravenous or tired and splattered with paint at almost 2 in the morning; but I don't think so ;)
These are the pancakes I would choose over any other on earth!
